Kerala University invited application for admission to the course of Master of Visual Arts at Raja Ravi Varma Centre, Mavelikara.

Kerala University has been invited applications for admission to the Master of Visual Arts in Art History and Master of Visual Arts in Painting offered at the Raja Ravivarma Center of Excellence for visual arts, Mavelikara for the year of 2019 -20.

According to Kerala university admission Eligibility of Master of Visual Arts in Art History of 2 years duration, the applicant must have at least a second class Bachelors degree in Fine arts from Kerala University or any other reputed University.

The one who has a second class Bachelors degree in Humanities with a proven track record in Fine Arts and its theological study can also apply. Mentioned on Kerala University website.

After all, those having a degree in subjects other than Fine Arts will have to attend a Short Course of one-year duration connected into two semesters. Those who successfully complete the one-year bridge Course will be admitted to two years Masters program in Visual Arts in Art History. Remarkably, the course duration for such students would be 3 years. Added on Kerala University notification.

For admission to the Master of Visual Arts in Drawing and Painting, of 2 years duration, the applicant must hold a Second class Bachelors Degree in Painting with not less than 55% of marks. For SC/ST Candidates, a minimum pass in the Bachelors Examination is only required.

For both courses in reservation category, there are 7 seats each. Of this, 4 seats reserved for domicile candidates and 3 seats for candidates from outside the State.

However, in the absence of outside the state candidates, these seats will be allotted to the general category.

Reservation and relaxation in percentage of marks will be as per the Kerala University rules.

Mode of admission will be done on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination, entrance test, and performance in the interview.

Only those Candidates who score minimum 40% mark in the Kerala University entrance test will be called for interview. The final merit list will be based on the marks in the Qualifying Examination, Written Test and Interview.

The filled in application should send to, The Principal, Raja Ravi Varma Centre of Excellence for Visual Arts, Mavelikkara-690101. Along with the prescribed fees and copies of relevant documents, latest by July 6, 2019.

The Entrance Examination will be on July 17, 2019.
