Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the NDA government’s decision to frame-up the temple trust to re-construct the Ram temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh in line with the verdict of the Apex Court. The decision comes out just four days before the 90 days deadline fixed by the SC to frame-up the trust ends.
“We have developed a stage plan for the reconstruction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya,” Narendra Modi announced in the Lok Sabha minutes.
“I am happy to announce that in the cabinet meeting today morning, we took significant decisions on the Ayodhya trust. As per the orders of the Supreme Court, we have set up a trust. The Sri Ram Janma Bhumi Tirtha Shetra will be the name of the trust. It will be an independent body,” Modi said.
In India, everyone is a part of one “broad family“, be it Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis or Jains, He added.
The government has also decided to organize the 67.703 acres of land to the temple trust.
The trust will be known as ‘Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra’, and empowered to make all decisions related to building a Ram temple at his birthplace and related matters, Modi announced in the Lok Sabha.
Yogi Adityanath also announced that the Uttar Pradesh government had decided to donate five-acre land to the Sunni Waqf Board as directed by the SC.
