The trial begins in an online sex racket case involving minor girls. The Trivandrum POCSO court has ordered the production of 13 accused in the sex racket, including Kiss-of-Love organizer Rahul Pashupalan and his wife, Reshmi. R. Nair, a Kerala-based bikini model, and an activist.
The court directed the accused to appear before the court for a pre-trial charge under Section 228 of the criminal procedure code. Judge K.V Rajneesh has ordered the crime branch to produce all the accused in front of the court on July five.
Karnataka police also registered a case against the accused of smuggling minor girls from Bangalore for prostitution. The Kerala and Karnataka High Court granted bail in these cases after Rahul Pashupalan was remanded in custody for 14 months and Reshmi. R. Nair for ten months.
Rahul is accused of inciting Reshmi to prostitution, acting as a middleman in the deal, and splitting the proceeds from the flesh trade.
The crime branch alleges that Rahul actively used social media to upload semi-nude photos of Reshmi in a bikini and created an image of Reshmi for online prostitution. Everything was for the betterment of their business.
